Why We Write (Video Version) Why do you write? Never lose sight of that and never be afraid to evolve your why over time. Enjoy! It’s easy, I think, for writers to get caught up in external distractions (or expectations regarding the selling/publishing of their work) and forget the important thing: why they write. For me, I write because it’s a damn joy. It releases pent-up emotions and makes me happy. Even if I never sold another story, I’d still write a story every week and try to get better at it. Hell, I don’t sell stories now but that isn’t stopping me from writing them. To great stories and greater characters, my friend! Cheers!
